David Nieto-Barba

David Nieto-Barba got a BSc on Mathematics and Physics from the University of Oviedo in 2021, and currently he is a PhD student at the University of Oviedo (Spain). While pursuing his MSc in Mathematics at the Autonomous University of Madrid (Spain), he served as Substituting Professor in the Department of Statistics and O.R. at the University of Oviedo, where he is currently undertaking a Severo-Ochoa predoctoral fellowship within the IMAGINE research group. His PhD project focuses on the robustification of imprecise models and their connections to coalitional game theory. He is a member of the EUSFLAT and SIPTA societies and has carried out a predoctoral research stay at the Technologic University of Compiègne (France). His research has resulted in two JCR publications, a poster award at ISIPTA 2025 conference and a nomination for the Best Student Paper Award at IPMU 2024.
