Now that 2025 is coming to an end, we summarise some of the lastest activities of the members of IMAGINE.
First of all, Marina Iturrate-Bobes was invited to give a seminar as part of the Q.E.D. series of seminars organised by the Department of Statistics and O.R. and D.M. of the University of Oviedo. The seminar, given on December 15, was entitled
El arte de medir lo desigual: lo que la asimetría nos enseña sobre los datos
In this talk, Marina explained her recent research on measures of symmetry.

A couple of weeks earlier, on December 3, Nicolás Carrizosa received the Extraordinary Award for the Best Academic Record in the Master’s Degree in Statistics for Data Science at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

Finally, following our tradition, we organised a meeting of the research group before the Christmas holidays, where we discussed our ongoing research and our plans for the coming year and, more importantly, ended the meeting with a lunch, toasting to a successful year and to continued collaboration in the year ahead.
